Meet Steve Boyer
Steve is a certified Reiki Master, Crystal and Sound Healer. Growing up in the small village of Kawkawlin, Steve is a proud Michigan native. He has always had an interest in spiritual development and self-help. He has been studying various types of spiritual practices since he was a young man. In 2022 he was introduced to Reiki and other forms of energy healing. Experiencing the effects of energy healing would "horse kick" the doors open for Steve and change his life forever. He felt the calling to become a healer himself. He began learning all he could, and received his first certification in March of 2024. After spending time honing his skills, he began practicing professionally in July of 2025 alongside his friend and mentor, Mary Cassaday, at Essential Balance in Midland, MI. As a natural psychic empath, Steve has been able to pick up on the emotional energy of others since he was a child. During his studies into meditation and energy work, he discovered other abilities such as clairvoyance and clairaudience. Steve is known as what's called a "natural healer". This is someone who some people are naturally drawn to because of the "light" within them. "Strangers will sometimes come up to me out of the blue and just start telling me their life stories and problems. In high school I was known as the "therapist" of my friend group. Now in my 40s I finally understand why." Steve has worked with the public since he was 18 years old. Widely known for his kind heart and gentle nature, Steve has dedicated his life to helping people bring balance, peace, and clarity back into their lives. In his spare time Steve is a big lovable nerd, playing video games, spending time with his husband Eric, exercising, studying spirituality, practicing yoga, meditating, and watching old horror movies.
Reiki
The ancient technique of healing through our hands has been around for thousands of years. Shamans, priests, witches, druids, monks, and other spiritual figures throughout history knew that there was a connection to the energy that unites us all, and that we could tap into that energy when needed. In 1922 a Japanese Monk named Mikao Usui developed the practice we know today as Reiki (universal life-force energy). Through hand positioning and the use of the Reiki symbols, the practitioner opens a channel and guides the energy throughout the client's body where healing is needed. Commonly used to balance the clients' energy centers (Chakras), it can also be used to reduce stress, help with sleep, enhance physical healing, remove negative or stagnant energy, and aid in spiritual development.
Crystal Healing
Another ancient form of healing that has been around since before the written record. You have to understand that intuition and the ability to feel energy was at its peak long ago. Back then, spiritual healers recognized that certain stones and crystals naturally formed from the earth possessed energy and vibrations that could positively affect the human body. They can help to reset our own vibrations back to a state of stability when our energy is out of balance. They can be used in spell work to amplify the energy being sent out, be worn for strength and protection, and of course, amplify healing abilities.
Sound Healing
The use of sound to promote healing and spiritual connection has been used by almost every culture since ancient times and are still used today. It's no accident that music is one of the most powerful mediums that can bring people together. Sound creates vibrations that can essentially re-calibrate our own vibrating energy. Think of ourselves like pianos that over time become out of tune. Sound healing can bring our energy back into harmony. Singing bowls were an integral part of Buddhism and are a preferred tool of mine. The use of quartz crystal bowls, which just like the quartz stone itself, have great healing properties. I also utilize tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, and Tingsha bells. All of which can be used for chakra balancing, promoting focus, relieving stress and anxiety, pain relief, releasing negative energy, and spiritual development.
Spatial Energy Cleansing (Home/Business)
Do you feel there is just a negative or stagnant energy hovering around in your home or business? Spatial energy cleansing can help remove that energy, and return your home or business to a state of harmony. I use a mixture of wood and herbs like sage, rosemary, lavender, palo Santo, and other items to help remove unwanted energy, and at the same time bring in positive energy to the space. BEFORE the cleansing takes place, I will perform an energy reading of the space to make sure I feel comfortable and able to deal with the energy present. IF I am not comfortable or feel that what is there is out of my scope of practice, I may have to refer you to seek the help of another spiritual practitioner. IMPORTANT!! Energy cleansing does NOT keep negative energy from eventually returning or building up in the future. It simply cleans the slate for you to go forward in cultivating a more positive energy in your home or business.
